Job Opening: Full-Time Taproom/Event Manager

Taproom Manager

  • Acts as brand ambassador for the brewery/taproom.
  • Helps establish and maintain high customer service. Makes sure that taproom patrons’ needs are met quickly and efficiently.
  • Takes initiative to identify ways to promote/market taproom to help maintain and increase sales through research and proposals to management
  • Take lead in Taproom and set a professional tone for staff communication and dynamics.
  • Is informed and up-to-date on taproom and company offerings, products, and services.
  • Helps create and maintain a pleasant taproom environment and experience (temperature, music, cleanliness, conduct).
  • Communicates beer release and other related information from management/production to taproom staff on a weekly basis.
  • Ensures beers on tap are acceptable to serve (right temperature, optimal quality, no off-smells or flavors).
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local regulations.
  • Manages taproom inventory and restocks/orders any necessary supplies.
  • Leads training & development of taproom staff to promote knowledge, efficiency, and growth to include beer styles and characteristics.
  • Identifies ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of taproom operations.
  • Works with management and Head Brewer to decide on guest taps for the taproom.
  • Responsible for Guest Tap management by working with distributors and breweries.
  • Responsible for maintenance and accuracy of keg log for excise tax recording.

Event Planning

  • Creates, coordinates, and executes on-site events, including private events and tours, music, community relations programs, and other promotional events
  • Manages setup and staffing of events and be onsite at key events
  • Plans events to build repeat customer relationships
  • Provides accurate event details for Beertenders to assist during events
  • Manages event calendar and communicates with staff any special needs for upcoming events
  • Updates management weekly on upcoming/planned events
  • Photograph/film/document events in taproom


  • Effectively plans weekly or monthly/quarterly based goals and distribution objectives
  • Plans and executes a weekly schedule of sales calls
  • Develops impactful long-term relationships with restaurants and brewers
  • Prioritizes distribution growth opportunities based on scale and accessibility

Here Is What We Are Looking For

  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Requires a high school diploma, preferably a bachelor’s degree.
  • 2-3 years of experience managing a taproom, restaurant, or bar preferred.
  • Minimum experience with POS and inventory management systems and cash handling procedures.
  • TIPS certification a plus, but not required before employment.
  • Strong understanding/knowledge of beer styles and the craft beer industry preferred; Certified Beer Server Level 1 Cicerone a plus.
  • Friendly and professional with customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships within the organization and community-at-large.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to manage and operate the taproom effectively, including evenings and weekends.


$31,000.00 to $34,500.00 /year
